Climate Change Minor

The Climate Change Minor at Cornel University responds to the most pressing issues of our time, and dozens of courses at Cornell explore the many facets of a warming world – from impacts on farming and food, to the causes of climate change, the potential of sustainable energy to replace fossil fuels, to the slow response of governments worldwide. Now a new climate change minor, which launched in September of 2012, gives undergraduates the opportunity to explore climate change from varied disciplinary perspectives, while getting a firm grounding in the basic physical, ecological and social science as well as its interactions with history, philosophy and the arts. Based in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the minor is available to all Cornell undergraduates. Minor in Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship

The Minor in Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona aims to provide basic, cross-curricular and versatile training in social studies ranging from the perspective of sustainable development to the concept of a global citizenship, with the aim of helping students become familiar with the scientific approaches existing in these fields. Climate Change and Sustainability Minor

Climate Change and Sustainability is an interdisciplinary minor, under the direction of the UMass Lowell Climate Change Initiative and housed in the Environmental, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Department (hereafter EEAS). A student enrolled in this minor will gain an understanding of the basic science behind climate change as well as the social and economic consequences of climate change. Sustainability Minor

The Sustainability Studies Minor is an all-campus minor sponsored by the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland. Interdisciplinary Minor in Sustainability

The interdisciplinary minor in sustainability offered by McMaster University is addressing sustainability challenges that require interdisciplinary solutions. Sustainability is frequently taught in silos within individual Faculties, and most often within individual and isolated courses. Sustainability Minor

The Minor in Sustainability offered to Portland State University undergraduate students aims to enhance an understanding of the multidisciplinary concepts and practices integral to sustainable living. The Minor has two primary components. The first is to educate the students in a balanced and rigorous manner about the various concepts, theories and methods related to sustainability. The second is to have the students work with a community partner on a project applying sustainability concepts and measures. To obtain a minor in sustainability a student must complete at least 30 credits (at least 15 of which must be taken in residence at PSU).
